How the service helps

Make the profile and website work together

Customers often meet your business on Google before they reach your website. They check what you do, whether you serve their area and how to contact you. Google Maps management keeps that first impression connected to the real business. We review profile information, customer actions and the website destination, then organise the agreed updates and recurring work. The management record explains what changed and what still needs a decision, while performance reporting distinguishes profile interactions from the enquiries your team actually receives.

A profile can describe the right service and still send the customer to an unhelpful page. Check that the destination explains the offer, confirms genuine coverage and provides a working contact route. Keep telephone details and opening information consistent. This improves the customer journey even when a single ranking observation cannot explain how everyone finds the business.

Deliverables

Useful work, clearly defined.

01

Business information and eligibility

Review the business name, address or service area, contact details and service description against owner-confirmed facts. Profile setup or recovery must reflect the real business and the relevant platform process, not an invented address or unsupported eligibility claim.

02

Hours and customer actions

Check the practical details a customer uses before calling or visiting: normal hours, known exceptions, telephone details and the website destination. Record proposed corrections clearly and obtain the business input needed to verify them.

03

Posts and new reviews

We reply to new reviews during the subscription and bring sensitive complaints back to you. Older reviews already on the profile are scoped separately. The monthly post still uses up to two supplied photos, or a text-only update when photos are unavailable.

04

A useful management record

Keep an understandable note of checks, approved changes, open questions and reported activity. A click count is not automatically an answered call, booking or sale, so the report should preserve the difference between activity and confirmed outcomes.

05

The one-page website

We draft the copy from confirmed facts; you provide authorised images and one consolidated revision. Your domain is registered in your name. Purchase and renewal costs are disclosed separately before acceptance. You keep your domain and a portable copy of the static website, with no agency transfer fee. Included hosting ends with the service. Third-party assets remain subject to their licences.

06

Access and ownership

Use appropriate owner-approved access for the work. A representative needs the owner’s express consent, and Google can remove that access. Verification and account ownership remain distinct from the agency’s role in preparing or carrying out agreed changes.

07

Work that needs a separate decision

Additional locations, directory activity, visibility samples and recovery work have different requirements. A ranking grid is a visibility measure, not a count of sales. Keep each of these in the proposal instead of implying that it is included in either monthly plan.

Your timeline

From getting started to staying current.

First we put the essentials in order. Then we keep your profile useful, respond to new reviews and show you what changed. We agree dates once access and materials are confirmed. Both plans follow the same setup and monthly routine; the 12-month price is a commitment, not a 12-month wait for delivery.

Fictional example

This bakery is invented for this example. The hours were not read from a live Google profile or a real website. Nothing on a profile or website has been changed.

One Saturday-hours discrepancy, worked through

Observation

Business Profile
Saturday is marked closed. The category, phone and address are filled in.
Linked website
Saturday is listed as 9:00–13:00.
Discrepancy
Saturday does not match. Nothing has been changed.
Owner confirmation
The owner must say which Saturday hours are actually offered before either page is edited.

The mismatch is recorded. It has not been corrected.

Proposed correction

After the owner confirms the hours, update the Business Profile so Saturday matches that confirmation. Leave the website unchanged until the owner says which description is right.

Verification

Re-read the public profile and the website and confirm Saturday matches the owner’s answer. This demonstration does not inspect Google or verify a live result.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What is the difference between Google Maps management and local SEO?

Maps management focuses on your Google Business Profile and its customer-facing information. Local SEO can also improve website service pages, location content and internal links. They can be coordinated in a single proposal with distinct deliverables.

Can you manage a service-area business?

The review can cover a business that travels to customers, subject to Google’s eligibility and representation requirements. The profile should reflect the actual operation and genuine coverage.

Why does my position change in different places?

Local results depend partly on relevance, distance and prominence. A search from one location does not describe visibility across the entire area. Meaningful comparisons retain the query, location and observation method.

What do profile call figures show?

Google’s profile performance figure records clicks on the call button. Confirmed conversations, bookings and sales need evidence from your own receiving process.

How are changed hours or services handled?

You confirm the new information and effective date. The agreed management process applies the update and checks what customers can see.

How is this different from website SEO?

This work is about the Business Profile on Google Search and Maps: the name, categories, hours, contact details and the actions a customer can take from that profile. It is not a full review of the website’s pages or technical search setup. Both monthly plans include a basic static website. Website SEO remains separate work.

What should match between the profile and the website?

The name, the hours, the phone number and the address or service area should describe the same business. Google’s guidelines say the profile should represent the business as customers know it. If Saturday is closed on the profile and open on the website, the owner confirms which hours are right before either side is changed.

Who decides whether Google shows the profile?

Google decides eligibility, verification and the order of results. Preparing accurate information, and following the steps Google provides, is the work an agency can do. Approving the profile, or placing it first, is not.

Can I cancel the £59 plan during the first 12 months?

Yes. Written notice to help@ascent-media.io cancels the £59 plan at the end of the current paid month. This is for new business customers and is not applied to an arrangement that started before this term. During the initial 12 months, the early-exit adjustment is the lower of £30 multiplied by the completed paid months in the initial term, including the final paid month, or the remaining unpaid £59 payments for that term. Ascent does not charge both. After 4 paid months the adjustment is £120. After 6 paid months it is £180. After 11 paid months it is £59. After 12 paid months it is £0. There is no administration fee, disconnection fee or second setup fee. The adjustment does not apply where you have a right to end the service because of Ascent's material breach or another legal cancellation right. Applicable refund rights are preserved. The £59 price is £30 a month below the £89 flexible price, and the adjustment repays that difference for each completed paid month, capped at the payments still unpaid.

What happens after the first 12 months of the £59 plan?

After 12 paid months the early-exit adjustment is £0. The plan continues at £59 a month on a rolling monthly basis. You can cancel at the end of the current paid month by written notice to help@ascent-media.io. Another 12-month commitment does not start automatically.

How do I cancel the £89 plan?

The flexible plan is £89 a month, with a £99 one-time setup. Written notice to help@ascent-media.io cancels it at the end of the current paid month. There is no early-exit adjustment, and no administration, disconnection or second setup fee.

Comparisons

How the plans differ

Same work

Both plans cover the same profile, monthly post, review replies, one-page website and tap card listed under Pricing. Neither plan includes a map position.

Commitment

The £59 plan is an initial 12-month commitment, paid monthly, with a £99 one-time setup. Completing that initial term comes to £807 including setup, and an early-exit adjustment can apply. The £89 plan uses the same setup and cancels at the end of the current paid month, with no early-exit adjustment. The calculation is in Questions.

Outside either plan

Extra locations, directory work, ranking grids, profile recovery, full website SEO, extra website pages, functions and integrations are separately scoped.
