Cookie and storage notice

This page lists the cookies and similar storage this website uses, and what each one is for.

This is a publicly accessible review draft. The final wording is not approved, and this page is not indexed.

How to read this list

This page describes the storage the site uses. No cookie values are shown. There is no cookie banner.

Colour preference

Name: ascent.media.mood.v1. This website stores it in local storage, not as a cookie.

Mineral and Volt save the preference. Choosing Ember removes it and returns the standard appearance. There is no expiry date inside the entry. It otherwise stays until you clear this site’s data.

It remembers only the colour appearance you chose. It is not used for advertising or analytics. Choosing Ember clears it.

Login check

Opening the WordPress login screen at wp-login.php sets wordpress_test_cookie for that browser session. It is Secure and HttpOnly.

It checks that the browser can store a cookie before a sign-in. Ordinary public pages, the contact form, the visibility form, the account login page, registration and password reset do not set it.

Account sign-in and password reset

When you sign in, the site uses two cookies, wordpress_logged_in_ and wordpress_sec_, each followed by a site identifier. They keep you signed in to the account you asked for. Without “remember me”, the cookie lasts for the browser session and the sign-in is treated as valid for 2 days. With “remember me”, the sign-in is treated as valid for 14 days, and the cookie can remain for 12 hours after that. Their purpose is that sign-in.

While you are using a password-reset link, a session cookie named wp-resetpass-, followed by a site identifier, is used to finish that reset. It is not set on an ordinary page. Signing in and resetting a password stay available.

Admin screen layout

Visitor pages do not set admin display cookies.

If you use the WordPress admin area, WordPress stores wp-settings- and wp-settings-time-, each followed by your user number, for one year. They remember that admin screen layout and nothing else. They are not used for advertising. Signing out removes them.

Visitor pages do not run an emoji-support check. They do not create or read wpEmojiSettingsSupports. An emoji in the text stays an ordinary character, shown by your browser.

What we do not store on your device

Ordinary public pages do not set a first-party cookie. No Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta pixel, Hotjar or Google Fonts storage is used. The typeface is served from this website.

Public pages do not load Hostinger Reach. We do not set an advertising cookie.

Enquiry emails are held in the Hostinger mailbox. The acknowledgement-limit records and the sending notes are held by the website. None of these is stored in your browser.
